This
is Benson. He is a nine year old pygmy goat. Benson lives in
Massachusetts with his friend Gracie the dog, Moxie the cat, my mom, my
dad, my sister and me. We got Benson when I was about five years old. We
had another one named Hodgie, which was Benson's twin, but he died when he
was maybe maybe five. The vet told my family that Benson wasn't going to
make it because they needed someone during the winter to huddle up with to
keep warm. But here Benson is today five or six years later, still happy,
healthy and as friendly as ever. He is smart, but not mean - some people
think boy goats are all mean, but not Benson! He likes being scratched on
his nose, and loves his hay and - well, any food we give him! Benson is
the best pet I think I'm ever going to have and I love him so much. He's
my Pet of the Day every day!
