About Us
Hercules, the Pet of the Day
Name: Hercules
Age: Unknown
Gender: Male
Kind: Painted Turtle
Home: Leonard, North Dakota, USA

Hercules was rescued from the urban jungles of Fargo, North Dakota. His age is unknown, but very young from the size of him. You can surely see from his size that he would not have lasted long on his own. He is much stronger than he looks, though, believe me. Since his rescue he has brought a feeling of hopefulness to our office. He has his own tank, and everyone wants to be the one who feeds him each day, so there's no doubt he'll grow up big and strong. How he came to be in downtown Fargo we may never know, but he's found a home with us, and caring for Hercules has brought the whole office together!

Hercules is currently residing in Leonard, North Dakota and is now being cared for by a co-worker (Stacy). One definite trait about him is that he has become accustomed to his feeding time. He has a UV light during the day and a much dimmer light at night. In the morning when his bright light is turned on, he comes to his water bowl because he knows it is worm time. He doesn't seem amused when his "big brother Tonka" (a Norwegian Elkhound) sticks his nose up to the glass, though.
