We
adopted Stitch from the Greater Chicago Ferret Association in November
2010 when he was four months old. We had always wanted a little fuzzy
friend, so I started doing research on Ferrets and we decided to get one.
We weren't looking to buy from a pet store, as I am a huge fan of adopting
and saving their lives. So the minute we saw Stitch at their adoption
fair, we knew he had to come home with us. We filled out the papers, got
him everything he needed and he now has a happy life with us. He's a
mischief maker though! He likes taking things when he's out of his cage
like bracelets, keys, food and such. But he usually gives it back when
he's bored with whatever it is.
He loves his ferret hammock and sleeps in it, plays hide-and-seek in
it... you name it! He also loves his soft-cuddle tube and he likes to rest
in it with his head sticking out the end. He loves being outside in the
sun to run in the grass and explore around the yard, and also trample
things in the garden. He's a very cooperative boy and he will wear Ferret
collars with no problem - I think he actually likes them! He sure looks
cute in them, that's for sure. He is a very sweet Ferret, and adopting him
was the best decision I could ever make.
