About Us
Axel, the Pet of the Day
Name: Axel
Age: Two years old
Gender: Male
Kind: Ferret
Home: California, USA

This is Axel Aries Aulson, he's a dark sable ferret. My baby is very different from most ferrets, he has a foot fetish. He loves to go in socks and shoes and he will never ever bite anyone in any place other than their feet. He is very smart and always looks you right in the eye when you speak to him. He only has one ferret treat that he loves, but no matter what I can never get him to eat any human food whatsoever. He falls asleep in my hands and in my bed and he absolutely loves my stuffed dog which he drags away and takes under my bed. He is trained to come when I squeak his squeaky toy, because he knows he'll get a treat. He loves my doggies and loves his bunny stuffed animal! He loves children, and he will chase them around in circles! (There's a clip of it in the video.) He loves his ferret tube as well. He is very kind and affectionate and has a high tolerance for being held. He is very patient with me and my baby cousin and everyone he meets loves him!

You know some ferrets make a sound called dooking? Axel doesn't dook, he makes high pitched squeaking noises almost constantly. You can only hear it if you get close to his mouth, though.

He's illegal in my state, can you believe it? I'm on the board of a group that is trying their hardest to get the little guys legal! I make videos saying he is in California, and Fish and Game knows they are already here. After all, 30% of all ferret products in the USA are sold in California! Axel and I and others are fighting this law and getting the word out that we are here. If you are interested in this issue, you can visit Legalize Ferrets, which explains it all.
