Tigger
is my tarantula, her type is called a "giant white-kneed"
tarantula. Tigger is a big sweet heart. She got her name because when she
was a baby she used to pounce on crickets, just like Tigger in the "Winnie
the Pooh" cartoons and books. She's about five inches now and expected to
grow about another three. She is very tolerant of people and can be handled.
She is an excellent pet for me, and because she is so friendly, she has
helped some of my friends get over their fear of spiders, just by being
her calm self. I don't think she is scary at all, then again, I am not a
cricket! I think she is beautiful and Tigger is a special pet for me.
