This
is my rabbit, Thumper, whom I had for four years. I first got Thumper at
an Ontario SPCA shelter. I was immediately attracted to her as she put her
feet up on the glass and stared right at me saying "take me home!" From that
minute on, I knew I would be taking her home. She never used to like getting
picked up, but after a couple years work, she loved to be held. The best part
of having her as a pet was that I would have something to come home to every
day, knowing that she would brighten my day.
Thumper passed away a couple months ago due to a brain condition (head tilt)
which is not uncommon in rabbits and can come out of nowhere. Despite her
condition she was the most energetic rabbit I had ever seen and loved to eat.
She would eat anything I gave her and would flip her food dish over and over,
making as much noise as possible, if she was hungry. She loved the camera and
had a great personality and will never be forgotten. Rabbits are the best
pets, and Thumper, I will always love you!
