This
is Kahlua and Bailey, Kahlua is the orange one, Bailey is the brown/grey
one. They were taken in as their previous owner had become allergic to them.
They are gerbils, and as gerbils are very social creatures it is always good
to have two so they can keep each other company. They are both fast and
funny. They love to dig through all their bedding and chew on anything
cardboard. They spend a lot of time rearranging and tunneling, and are quite
industrious girls. Their favorite treats are sunflower seeds but they do not
get them often. They also love to play on their wheel which is magnetic and
is on the side of their cage. Did you know their tail can fall off if you
grab them by it! WHOA! So they are not the best pet for a small child who
might accidentally do that. This helps them in the wild, as a predator ends
up with just a tail, and the gerbil gets away safely. They are very very
sweet girls and love to be petted, but not held. They live in Pennsylvania with
me Tara, and their human daddy Paul. We love them both very much.
