Luca
is a very nice pet. When this picture was taken she had nine new babies.
They were about ten to eleven days old. She has been a great mother to them all.
Can you imagine caring for nine babies? Luca handles it all easily which is
just so nice to see. I should have known she would, as she has always been
very smart, even for a rat, which everyone knows are pretty smart to begin with.
When I brought her home she learned to open the cage door by herself. On
the second day she escaped and ate half of their food! It took several
tries before I devised a way to lock it so that she cannot undo it. She is so
intelligent, like every rat, but she is the best for me.
