About Us
Maggie, the Pet of the Day
Name: Maggie
Age: Sixteen years old
Gender: Female
Kind: Citron Crested Cockatoo
Home: Saint Albans, West Virginia, USA

Introducing Maggie the magical Citron Crested Cockatoo, which is told apart from all other cockatoos by its orange not yellow crest. Maggie is a sixteen-year-old gal, known best for her bright orange crest feathers. and strong character. She is a rescue from Missouri, that now resides in West Virginia with her brothers Popeye an African Grey, also a Rescue from Virginia, Grumpy a cockatiel from West Virginia, and Elvis a scarlet Macaw who was rescued from a loving family who wanted better for him, and to put him in a family that knew birds. That would be us.

Maggie loves to sing and dance. She loves to do tricks for you. She will wave on command, raise her wings on command, bow, clap by flapping her wings, says yeaaaahhhhhhhhh, and her favorite three words are Maggie Maggie Maggie. She will go out of her way to get the dog in trouble in any way she can. She is teaching the other birds her evil ways as well.

Of all these birds she is the most loving caring and best friend I have had until Elvis came along. She is still my best bud. I spent time with her after every bird in the house has gone to bed, and that is our special time together.
