This
picture is of Jemma, my standard gray female who is about a year old. I
got her from a pet store and was told she was a boy. She is a very independent
girl. What's special about her is she is my very first chinchilla, and in true
newbie fashion I believed as I was told she was a boy and named her Jimmy.
After doing some more research and speaking to more experienced owners I
realized she is actually a girl, which fits her diva attitude very well. She
is hard to catch camera wise, and I finally able to get good pictures as she
was too busy nom-noming the hay to notice the camera!
Jemma loves to come up to the cage door when she's ready to be let out for
playtime and she loves her scritches, but she hates having to go back into her
cage and would rather jump and popcorn all night! She loves to jump on my
shoulders and even the top of my head and though she may act like she's Miss
Independent sometimes, she loves when I cuddle her while we watch tv together.
She is a bundle of energy, loves to jump and popcorn everywhere. She is a
little diva and she will let me know when she wants something, but overall
she's a sweetie and I adore her. All in all she is a special girl and I
wouldn't trade her for anything.
She just got a new wheel and she loves to run full speed and then stop
suddenly and check to see if I am watching her. She loves her scritches on her
head and behind her ears every day in the mornings when I wake up and when I
come home from work, and she loves to groom my hair and eyebrows. She is a
very special girl and I enjoy watching her every day. She is just full of
entertainment. I love all three of my chins, but because she was the first she
holds a very special place in my heart. She's my spoiled little princess.
