I
had owned a rabbit as a child and really had intention of owning anymore. I
keep and breed hamsters. They are small and easily kept, however while I was
walking my dogs with my daughter through my apartment complex on a Tuesday
I saw a rabbit munching away on grass. I walked up to her, and she
hopped up the me. Sniffed my hand and I was sold. I scooped her up, assuming
someone dumped her because they didn't want her anymore. You could feel all
her bones and she was filthy. I took her home, did some research and ran to
the store to get a cage, pellets, and hay.
She is very content to hop up next to me and my daughter and just lay there
and be petted. She is potty trained and won't go outside of her cage. She also
does not touch anything that is not hers to touch unless it is a stray piece
of food (She likes goldfish!). She also loves fresh veggies. She loves to be
held like a baby and be spoken to. She is an incredibly laid back girl to have
gone through what she did. We love her.
