Meet
Benji Smith, he is a Black Bear Hamster. I got him about a year and a
half ago by finding him at PetsMart. I remember I had wanted a black hamster
and right when I saw him, I knew he was the perfect one for me. An employee
let me hold him and he was good as gold! Benji is absolutely precious and
enjoys running on his green wheel, climbing to the second level in his cage
(instead of using the tube that is there for him), chewing on cardboard, and
nibbling on strawberries. Some of my favorite things to do with him are bathe
him with Squeaky Clean Hamster Shampoo, watch him crawl through tubes, and
cuddle with him!
He is so exclusive that I even make him a stocking every Christmas. It is a
hamster size stocking! It's hard to cut the material so tiny and then stitch
it. All I do is cut material in the shape of a stocking and then stitch it up!
Benji cannot fit inside it (though it would be funny if he could) because he
is quite a big boy for being a hamster.
Benji is downright the best hamster anyone could ever have!
