Gus
is my little bundle of fuzz - he is an Angora Teddy Bear Hamster. He was
given to me as a birthday present. In the picture he is holding a snack and
hanging out with one of his bunny friends. You can see that it doesn't bother
him one bit that the bunny is several times his size, they are just friends.
Gus brings a smile to my face every time I look at him. A lot of people told me
that hamsters were mean and bite but not Gus, he has never bitten me. I think
Gus is the most adorable creature God has ever created. Every one who sees Gus
thinks he is so cute, even people who don't "do" animals. Gus's favorite thing
to do is play in his hamster ball. He can't wait to climb in. He amazes me on
how smart he is. He knows how to steer the ball with out bumping into things.
But he will occasionally. He will annoy my cat by bumping into him. (I think he
does this on purpose.) Gus knows one trick - to stand on his hind legs for a
treat. I think that's pretty smart for a hamster. Another thing Gus likes to do
play on his wheel - now this sometimes annoys me because it squeaks, but I can't
get mad at him cause he's sooo cute. Gus is definitely a joy and I'm so glad I
got him.
