Scooter
is the type of chinchilla who can capture anyone's heart. He has the
most telling eyes, a sweet face, and the most adorable loving personality. He
particularly likes being held so that he can snuggle under your chin.
In addition to being sweet, he's a silly boy too! Scooter's favorite thing to
do is plaster himself to the cage door like a spider monkey when I enter the
room. He hangs onto the door while I swing it open and then he jumps into my
arms. When he gets sticks to chew on, he runs around with the sticks in his
mouth like a dog playing fetch until he finds a nice spot to sit and chew them up!
Scooter is also quite the trooper. At three months of age, he developed an abscess
which had to be surgically removed. Complications arose and he had to go back
to the vet repeatedly for new medications and treatment of the wound. Two
months later, he finally healed up and is no worse for the wear. He was very
cooperative while he healed and took his medicine like a champ!
The second picture is Scooter, tired of being bandaged! The third picture
is after he got back from surgery, wondering why he has to stay in such a
small cage! I am so proud of my brave little boy!
