Hello,
my name is Sami. Sami is short for samurai, and as I am a fighter,
I think the name suits me. Betta fish are also known as "Siamese fighting
fish," you see! I have my own little decorated fish tank in my mummy's
room. I am next to another fighter named "Swan," not in the same tank
though. Swan and I like to chase each other through the glass. We puff out
our gills and spread out our fins to reveal all the beautiful colours on
them. I also like chasing my own reflection if Swan isn't in the fighting
mood. I am three years old, which is apparently pretty old for a fighter. I
can tell when mummy is going to feed me and I always rush to the surface.
Sometimes I nibble on mummy's hand if she puts it in the tank. It doesn't
hurt her though, I promise. It is my way of giving her fishie kisses. I
love my mummy and she says she loves me, too!
