Colby
came to live with me six years ago after previously living only with
other birds, so she was not at all socialized. It took some patience and
training during her first year with us, but now she is the sweetest girl.
And Senegals can live for at least 30-50 years, so we were glad to give her
a good "forever" home, and know we will have many years of fun with her.
Her favorite food is peanuts - she prefers them to any other food, though we
make sure she gets a balanced diet so she stays healthy. This is a picture of
her enjoying her new toy, it was fun to watch her explore it and try it out...
It gives us great pleasure watching her enjoying life with her flock of small
friends - Peri (a Budgie), and Digit (a Parrotlet), and the rest of the
family, which includes O'Malley the Cat and of course us humans, too! We love Colby.
