This
picture is of my African Grey parrot - Natasha. We call her Tashia for
short, and she is a great bird. She says just about anything, and mimics
everything from the phone ringing to the dogs barking. She is such a good
mimic that more than once, when I am on the phone, people have mistaken
Tashia for another person being in the room with me! They're amazed when I
tell them it's just the bird!
She has lots of toys to keep her busy, but her favorite thing to do,
besides being with us, is to tear apart branches with her beak. The fact
that she can so quickly shred wood makes it even more impressive that she
has never hurt any of us. When she "beaks" us, she is remarkably gentle.
Tashia is friendly and gets along with everyone, and is just a great bird.
