Sunflower, the Pet of the Day
Name: Sunflower
Age: Unknown
Gender: Female
Kind: Gopher Snake
Home: Oregon, USA
Sunflower is a very pretty gopher snake. I've always been fond of Gopher snakes and their relatives, but have never had one of my own. When I spotted Sunny at a pet store I was not in the market for another snake, but I took her out anyways "just to look", since her rich yellows and oranges were so pretty. She immediately crawled into my purse and would not be budged. How could I turn her down?

One thing I've always loved about Gopher snakes and their relatives is their attitudes! They tend to be very vocal, hissing their opinions about everything! In the store, she certainly has a lot to say to me. Since I got her home, however, I haven't heard a peep. Indeed, she is the mellowest, sweetest gopher snake I've ever come across! I love having her out to handle, because she's so calm and slow most of the time that I can be typing or playing games while I have her out. Between her lovely colors and her lovely temperament, she is truly a joy to have around!
