||Ten months old|
sweet little girl here is Delilah. My husband and I adopted her in
February from Bunny Rescue in Columbia, TN. So she is still somewhat new to
our family and is slowly coming around, but she already has us wrapped around
her finger! I did a lot of research before I adopted her and I was a little
nervous about adopting a rabbit, but Laurie put me at ease and has been great!
Even though we obviously picked a shy one, she is the sweetest thing and I'm
so glad I chose her! She is very comfortable in her surroundings and
stretches out like she owns the place, I love it when she does that! She
doesn't chew on anything she isn't supposed to, and she is a very clean girl!
We love to play toss with her ball and she loves to bonk us with her nose
when we have a cranberry hidden somewhere around us! She also thinks it's the
end of the world when it's bedtime, but is just fine after we give her an
apple piece for her bedtime snack. She really is a blessing and puts a smile
on our faces every day! We cannot wait to see her little personality bloom
more and more!
There is also a special memory behind the name "Delilah." In July of 2007 I
lost my little sister in a car accident. I have never experienced anything so
awful. She was a part of me and the world lost someone very special. We both
liked to go get manicures and pedicures together and the last time we did
together, we sang the song, "Hey There, Delilah", by the Plain White Tees, the
whole way there! I can't help but think of her every time I hear that song.
When I was thinking of bunny names, that was the one that stood out to me and
I couldn't think of naming my bunny anything else! Now every time I say her
name, it reminds me of my sister a little too!
