Leela
came to me from the now defunct South Carolina Guinea Pig Rescue. I saw
her picture on Petfinder.com
and knew she was the guinea pig to round out my little herd. As I was about
to go on vacation, I put her on layaway! The
rescue boarded her for me until I could got back from vacation.
She is quite a little character. She is so flexible that I call her the
Ferret Pig. She can stretch out to nearly a foot long when she wants. Her
favorite foods are carrots, basil, and green bean snaps. Her hobbies include
eating, tormenting her cagemate Zathras, eating, hiding under the sofa during
floor time and eating. When I hold her, my lap is not enough. She climbs
onto my shoulder, and tries to climb on to the top of the recliner. When
small children want to pet one of my guinea pigs, she is usually the one that
I allow them to pet, as she is the gentlest one that I have.
Leela is a wonderful guinea pig and I hope that she has a happy, healthy life
for many years to come.
