Moe
is a DEW Ferret - that stands for Dark-Eyed White, as he is not
albino, with his handsome dark eyes. Moe is very special because he has a
strong will to live. He is a true fighter. Moe's original owner did not
have much time for him, and thought it'd be best to find him a home with
someone who did. He was previously re-homed to a family that did not care
for him. Moe was found nearly dead with no water for a minumum of 48 hours
and his food was rotton and moldy from the water leaking into it, and he'd
never been receiving fresh food.
He was rushed to the vet, only to find out he was obviously dehydrated and
suffering from ulcers and colitis, which caused him not to eat on his own.
He was placed on several medications, and had lost over a pound in three weeks.
His first mommy and I spoke every day while he recovered. And a month
later, he and his "brother" Jammies came home with me. It has been a month
now since they have been in their new home with me, and Moe is just
thriving every day! He is slowly putting weight back on, and is coming out
of his shell (no pun intended with the picture!) more and more. He is a
very special ferret.
