Hi,
I am Isa, I am four months old and live In Baltimore. This Little Girl is
Sweet as they come - she really thinks she human and makes me feel special to
have her.
She is named Isa, because I name all my gliders after cities in Australia,
as that's where sugar gliders originate.
I am a Maryland Breeder and raise some of the sweetest gliders - Sugar gliders
can glide through the air. They glide with these expandable "wings" - actually
extra skin under their "arms." they make wonderful pets and become very bonded
to the owners. Sugar gliders are wonderful, fun-loving pets and most gliders
may be afraid or scared once they are pulled from the parent or existing
owners and sent away. So a new glider may crab (that's the sound they make) to
scare you away. Some may even bite... but once the gliders are socialized and
bonded they don't bite or run from their owners. I make sure my Gliders are
very tamed to humans and come to the new owner very friendly. That is not to
say the new environment might not scare them and they may crab a little. But
once settled in they become some of the friendliest Gliders ever.
Isa has the best personality. She thinks of herself as human too, and never
wants to be in her cage. Gliders don't really do tricks, but I am happy if
they don't pee on me. They do love to play, but most of their playtime is
overnight as they are nocturnal. But the time we get with a sugar glider is
filled with tons of affection, they do love to snuggle and sleep with the
owner and they coo and purr. Gliders are not too noisy except for the running
wheel overnight - they love to run too, but with some of the new stealth
wheels now they are very quiet. They do talk sing bark and make other sounds
but not really loud.
