What
makes Balthazar special is that she only has three legs but you'd never,
ever know it to watch her!! When she was four to five months old she got an abscess in
her ankle of her back left leg and had to have it amputated, at a total cost of
around £300. She gets on fine without it and is as lively as a normal rabbit.
I have known Balth since the day she was born because her mum is my friends
rabbit. I chose her when she was three weeks old and it was confirmed that I could
have her at five weeks. She lives in a large hutch and run with my two guinea
pigs Clover and Daisy and sometimes acts more like a guinea pig than a rabbit!
When the weather is nice she enjoys going on walks with her mum and two younger
sisters in the park. She also enjoy jumping and is trained to respond to
several commands including come, stay and over.
She is a very friendly rabbit who will nudge and climb on me if she thinks
another rabbit is getting more attention than her!
Her favorite foods are leafy foods such as kale, cabbage and carrot tops.
