This
is Feliece, he is a thirteen-year-old African Senegal male. Feliece
came to us here in Rupert, Idaho when he was already seven. He had been a
lady's pet for his first two years, but then he was put out into a cage as
a breeder. This is where his intended mate picked his neck feathers pretty
badly. He was even bald in spots (which is why his feathers look a little
ragged on his neck, that's how they grew back in) so needless to say his
attitude was not very good when we got him. He was not friendly at all...
but with the right care, and lots of love, he has since then become a good
friend. He talks well, screams well, whistles well and is constantly
laughing at us - he's so funny! He now lives with two African Gray parrots
and a female African Senegal, and they all get along well.
