is my own little Psycho, named for her very strong personality. Psycho
acts very "psychotic" when she's in her cage. If you frighten her or make
her mad, she will stand up on her hind legs and scream and pee at you, hee
hee. She is very clear about what she considers to be her territory. Yet if
you can get ahold of her and get her out of the cage, she loves to be held on
her back like a little baby and have her tummy rubbed. She'll lay like that
for a half hour. It's so sweet, she is so soft and snuggly, when she isn't
defending "her" space!
She is blind in one eye, so she sits in her cage with the good eye in one
squares of the wires looking at you (see the picture). I call that her giving
me the "evil eye." You certainly know you are being watched when she does
this. Nothing escapes her attention, I assure you! She also has seizures so I
cannot let her run free because it makes her heart pump too hard, and that can
bring on a seizure. I thinks she may be allergic to peanuts but she loves
them. I try to give her different treats to make up for the lack of peanuts,
though when I give one to my other chinchilla, Tigger, she certainly smells
them. I love her, she's my strange little girl.
