Miss Spots, the Pet of the Day
Name: Miss Spots
Age: Four years old
Gender: Female
Kind: Hamster
Home: Golden Valley, Minnesota, USA

Miss Spots is my very funny but cute dalmatian hamster. I got her from Robinsdale Farm and Garden. She was there for almost a year, so she was a little wild - just not very tame. I've had two hamsters before her but neither of them was as sweet as Miss Spots. Her soft but silky coat makes her cute, but her actions make her funny.

When she eats, I sometimes give her a piece of her food, and she takes it in her paws and then stuffs it in her cheeks. She can fit 35 sunflower seeds in her mouth at once! (Yes, I counted.) She loves to eat and she puts all the food she gets up in her wheel. So she's getting fat because she can't run in her wheel - she has decided it's food storage.

One of the best things about Miss Spots is she is really smart! One day, I took her ladder (which she uses to get to her wheel) out to clean it and she really wanted to get up to her wheel. So she climbed the bars on the side of her cage, which she had never done before, put more food up there, then jumped down. This is why I love Miss Spots so much! She is great!
