||Three years old|
||New Hampshire, USA|
is my little friend, Timber. He is a male pacific parrotlet, and is
three years old. He was given to me by a very caring person, after another
bird of mine passed away. I was devastated, and little Timber came along
and helped so much to ease my pain.
When Timber first came to me, he was seven months old, and was struggling
with a neurological disorder. He would easily lose his balance and fall,
and had a poor grip in his right foot. He is also missing a toenail on one
of his toes. No one knows why he had this problem, but it didn't matter to
me. He was the sweetest, gentlest parrotlet I'd ever met. I fell in love
with him instantly. Now, three years later, his problem is nearly gone. He
never falls anymore, and although he is cautious and careful in how he
moves, he has no other signs of his neuro issue at all. He is just a
perfect little bird. And he is so tiny and adorable!
Timber loves to sit really close to my face and cuddle. He loves to have
his head and cheeks rubbed. He is very friendly with everyone, and even
says "pretty pretty" when he is feeling chatty. Timber is a very special
little guy, and I adore him. And I will always be thankful to the kind
person who gave him to me, just when I needed him. He was the perfect gift
to heal a broken heart.
