This
is my Solomon Island Eclectus, Jerico. He is four years old and very
outgoing. As you can see in this picture, he likes to hang out with his
friend Purcy the cat - yes, they are friends.
Our boy Jerico, he is a wonderful companion. We no longer have him caged,
in fact he runs the house. He is very affectionate, playful, and at times
a bully to the cat. Jerico is healthy, happy and full of fire.
Jerico is very vocal. At times it seems as though he can carry on a
conversation with you. I am not sure how much he truly understands, but I
would like to think that he understands most everything. He goes
everywhere with me - in the garden, in the car when I run errands,
everywhere. He comes with me when I go to my mom's, and he enjoys
tormenting her parrot, the little troublemaker! And as you can tell, he
even helps with cooking duties - or clean-up, anyway.
