This
is Tim telling Santa what he wants for Christmas. Tim was found in a
ditch, last spring, by some wonderful people who cleaned him up and nursed
him back to health. In August, they were kind enough to let me adopt him.
I wanted a loving boy for my Sandy. She is a gentle soul who needed a
friend. Tim fits the bill perfectly. They were made for each other. When I
first brought Tim home, I put them both in the bath tub. That is a good
place to bond bunnies because they are both unsure and cling to each
other. It was love at first sight. Sandy is two years older, but you
wouldn't know it because she is the submissive one. They share their food
and snuggle a lot. Maybe they got their Christmas wish back in August,
someone to love.
My friends at Huntsville Friends of Rabbits will be excited, too. They
told me about Tim. These people foster abandoned rabbits and bunnies that
are turned into shelters until they find good homes. Tim is happy and has
a good home.
I have no idea what breed he may be, but Tim is small next to Sandy. She
is 5.5 pounds, so he is less than 4. Tim favorite food is romaine lettuce
and carrots, as is Sandy's. It is so cute to see them sharing the same
piece of lettuce or carrot. Some of his favorite toys are whiffle balls,
because he can grab onto the holes and throw it in their water dish.
Another toy is the green plastic scoop from dry laundry detergent. He
grabs onto the little handle and tosses it all around their cage.
