My
pet is a leghorn chicken. Her name is Shortstuff. My son brought her home
from school after a science project. We didn't expect to keep her after she
grew up, but she had us wrapped around her little chicken foot. She sits on
our laps and lets us pet her until she falls asleep. She also loves to jump
up and try to eat our food, especially ice cream and chocolate chip cookies.
She even comes when we call her and she never minds being picked up and
cuddled. We have two other hens, but Shortstuff is our favorite one. She is a
very special chicken.
She is a rare and special chicken and we will never forget her. We have other
chickens, but none as special as her. She loves mashed potatoes and ice
cream, even water ice! She is a great layer too, one extra large egg every
day. None of our other chickens can compare to our very first and wonderful,
Shortstuff!
