Nattie
came to me from a pet store along with her sister, Maggie who has
since passed away. She joined my other two rats, Milly and Jazz and
instantly were best friends. Since then she has made friends with three
other rats and has become best buddies with one rat, Whitlyn. The two of
them always are getting into trouble. Whether it's escaping from the
cage, chewing up the hammocks, bugging the other rats or stealing treats
the two of them have done it.
When I first got Nattie her naughtiness almost had me bringing her back
to the pet store but I knew what fate would await her there so I kept
her. Now I am glad she did stay, her cleverness and knack for trouble
always keeps me entertained. She may not like to cuddle but when she does
I know it is a special moment. After her sister passed away she sat still
(very unNattie-like) and let me pet her until she fell asleep. She has
been able to move on from her sister's death with the help of her rattie
friends and the need to get into some kind of trouble.
Naughty Nattie is definitely a special rat that will forever have a place
in my heart, even if she decides to chew up another comforter on my bed
or knock her food all over the floor or even show the other rats how to
escape from the cage... again. Life would be like a rainbow without its
color without her in my life.
