My
pet is Annie, she is a hooded rat. Although she is honey colored
she is still a hooded rat - that's just her breed, not a description of
her coloration. She is three yrs old. She is special to me because
she lights up the room when I come in to see her. We play on the couch
and I give her good treats that she enjoys. She loves being petted and
played with, and her little whiskers tickle! She enjoys her treats, and
likes to chew on and shred cardboard tubes. She is so cute, and
such a sweetheart. Some people may say they "don't like rats," but anyone
who has met my Annie comes away with a different idea, you just have to
love this little girl. I know I do.
She has been sick lately but is hanging in. I hope to have her for a
long period of time. But I know that their life expectancy is shorter
than that of a dog or a cat, so I plan to enjoy her for as long as we
can be together.
