This
is Stolenn. He is a Black Roof Rat (rattus rattus), they are a
different species than Fancy Rats (also called Norway rats or Rattus
norvegicus). He is almost a year and a half old. He is a rescue, and was
glad to come to a home where he would be safe.
Stollen, by the way, is the name of a traditional Christmas time
dessert, and this boy is just as sweet, just spelled differently. In
his spare time, Stolenn likes to wrestle with his adopted brothers,
Joey, Elvis, and he sued to wrestle with Dave (who recently went to
heaven.) Stolenn loves to chirp like a bird to get our attention. It
works every time! He is a sweetie pie.
