I
was nine when I got Pepsi and his sister, Buddy. Ever since that day,
he has been a constant part of my life. When we lost Buddy in May of
2008, I turned to Pepsi for comfort. He helped me get through that and
so many other times. Pepsi is the most energetic, happy, and innocent
creature I have ever met. No matter how stressed I am, I can't help but
giggle when he wheeks at me. Pepsi just has a way of making people
forget their troubles and be happy. Everyone who meets him absolutely
falls in love with him - it's impossible not to! What he lacks in size
he makes up for in heart and attitude. He manages to control my other
pets, a 50-pound dog and two cats. Pepsi may just be an old pet-store
piggy, but he's my pet-store piggy and he means more to me then
anything.
Before Pepsi will climb up his ramp, he has to get a running start. He
will run a few laps around his cage at full speed before rocketing up
the ramp. He is also quite the escape artist. I can't keep my eyes off
him for more then a few minutes without him getting into some sort of
trouble. I remember one time he got loose and ran right under my
dresser. It took us almost a half hour to move the dresser enough to
reach him, but once we did he just wheeked and ran over to me. Pepsi
used to be a very quiet pig, but ever since we lost Buddy he has turned
into a loud, vocal pig. If he wants something, he won't shut up until he
gets it.
Pepsi also has another unique part to him - he loves classical
music. It totally and completely relaxes him. If he's being vocal for no
reason, I just turn on a little Beethoven or Mozart and he quiets right
down. Sometimes he even falls asleep!
