Hi
there! The prickly little bundle of love you see here is Snuffles, my
female hedgehog. Snuffles is an African Pygmy Hedgehog - they are a
different species than the hedgehogs people find in as garden pests in
Britain. She is definitely a pet, and not at all prickly in personality!
Snuffles needs to get regular baths like most pets, but the difference
is, she gets scrubbed down in a tupperware container with puppy shampoo
and a toothbrush to get all those little quills and in between them nice
and clean. After her warm bath comes her favorite part - getting to
snuggle up in a dish towel. She loves to peek out of the top of the
towel while I hold her. It is her favorite part of Wednesday nights, and
I think it's mine too. She's such a sweet litte girl, and I love her so much!
