Zippy
is special to me because she is a unique type of pet to have. When
she was smaller she had jumpers with the arms and neck sown up as her
pouch. I love her heaps!!!
Zippy has been with us since she was a few months old. Her Mum was hit by
a car accidentally so because we don't need a permit or anything like
that, we adopted her. We fed her milk (special kangaroo powder with water)
until a few months ago. Her 'pouch' was a jumper with the arms ad neck
sown up and she used to just literally roll into the bag when she wanted
to sleep or rest. She once thought my friends' Flower bag was a pouch and
tried to roll into that!! She missed and landed on her back. It was
hilarious because my friend had no idea what Zippy was trying to do until
it was too late!!
Zippy is able to go wherever she wants because we don't lock her up in a
yard so she sometimes goes off for a few days or hours and comes back when
she feels like it. She doesn't do any tricks but she responds to her name
most of the time. She sometimes acts a bit wild and 'touchy' but most of
the time she just loves a good rub on her chest!! Now she has a flowery
collar so that people know she is a pet kangaroo.
