Luigi,
a.k.a. Lulu, is an umbrella cockatoo from Waldwick, NJ. He lives
with his three human brothers and human mom and dad. What makes Lu special
is that, until recently, his name was Lulu - it wasn't just a nickname -
and he was called "she"! He was probably thinking that his family was
wacky for the past seven years! Finally, the truth was discovered and now
his family is trying very hard not to slip and say "good girl" any longer.
Lu is very affectionate and requires that you pet him with both hands
simultaneously, making it very difficult to accomplish anything other
than petting Lu! He doesn't see this as a problem! What could be more
important than petting him? He screams when he wants out of his cage.
When that doesn't work, he says "hello" in a sweet voice. I guess he
figures a different approach is worth trying.
