Cucumber
is my second Guinea pig and my other one we thought was a girl.
So we bought Cucumber from the pet store to be her friend, and they sold
her to us for $10.99. I thought that was strange considering that the one
I had bought a year before was thirty dollars from the same place.
When we got her home, my mom noticed lice or something on her two days
after and we knew only sick or unhealthy guinea pigs get lice. So we
took both guinea pigs to the vet, just in case the other one had gotten
lice. At the vet's office, they said that the pet store had sold us a
malnourished, licey guinea pig. They also told us Benson, my other
guinea pig that the pet store had said was a girl isn't - he's a boy!
So between getting Cucumber better, and him fixed, we had to pay $300
dollars for the "bargain" guinea pig!
The good thing that came out of it, though, was that was I got Cucumber
- she is the sweetest guinea pig in the world. She rarely squeaks and
never even nibbles and is so nice. And the other good thing, of course,
is that I saved a guinea pig's life! Here she was exploring this bag,
and I caught her peeking out! She is now a healthy, happy, pig at home.
