||Two years old|
is Lucy. She is a two-year-old Abyssinian Guinea pig. We got her
from Thistle Cavies, a rescue center in Scotland. When we got her,
she'd had a bad fungal infection, and her previous owners did not know
how to take care of her. After three weeks at the rescue center and
two weeks with us, she is well and truly on the mend. She's nervous of
people, but she is getting braver every day.
Lucy is a companion for our other Pig, Margot. We lost our previous pig
last month, and it was devastating for all of us (especially Margot).
This are looking up for all of us though, as Lucy is a lot of fun. She
is a lovely pig, and posed for her picture like a pro. She has the
loudest wheek (especially when you chop veggies or rustle a bag that
might contain food) I have ever heard, and she has the biggest ears I've
ever seen on a piggy. She has won my heart already.
