This
is Zip. He's a very nice horse and I love him oh so much. He's a
beautiful and unique red chestnut. When he was a little colt he use to
have a nervous system problem where every little touch was like you were
pinching him. As he grew he became stronger and recovered, but not all
the way, he still is girthy, like a lot of horses and is sensitive to
hard brushes. Zip is a horse that is very energetic and loves to go
fast. His show name is Zippos Middle Man, he is related to Zippos
Pinebar, a famous quarter horse. Zip is a english riding horse, we tried
to put a western saddle on him and it didn't go too well. He let us know
his preference for English quite emphatically! Zip loves to eat, I feed
him oat snacks when he is good, or just because he looks so cute.
Zips's been to a lot of states in America, like Kansas, and New Jersey,
until he came to New York where he is now with all his new friends. He
has been with us for two years, and ever since he came he's brought joy
to many people. He lives at a barn and gets to run free all the time,
and only comes into the barn when he needs to eat. When he hears the
gate open he's always the first one in his stalls. He has so much
personality and I couldn't ask for a better horse.
