||Twelve years old|
is a great horse with a sweet nature. Candy likes her cuddles and
loves to lick people. When we got Candy it was hard to get the bridle and
halter on her!
She would always throw her head up or rear! We touched her ears and saw
that she didn't like that. We called the vet like anyone would do if their
pet was sore. The vet said unfortunately that she had mites in her ear. It
was very devastating to here this! The vet sedated her so he could clean
all the mites out of her ears. Unfortunately the sedating had the opposite
affect! She was awake but her legs were wobbly and she was falling down.
She was rearing, bucking and pig rooting. She fell so many times and hit
her head on the ground and we were so scared she was going to hurt
herself. The vet and mum quickly grabbed her and mum held the halter while
the vet really quickly fixed the mites in her ears. After that day we will
never get her sedated ever again!
Candy is a great horse. When we go in the paddock she will bolt up to use
and cuddle us. Candy is special because she is the one I can go to when
I'm down. She has always been there for me and I love her to bits. She is
very affectionate and rub you, licks you, falls asleep when we pat
her ... I just love her.
Candy is a great Show jumper. She has done four years of pony club and has
done cross country, show jumping, barrel racing, and dressage. She is a
very pleasant horse but can sometimes let out an occasional buck. That's
okay, because we cannot all be perfect!
I LOVE CANDY :D!
