About Us
Brownie, the Pet of the Day
Name: Brownie
Age: One and a half years old
Gender: Female
Kind: Short-Hair Guinea Pig
Home: Florissant, Missouri, USA
Brownie came into our lives in December 2005, when she was only a few weeks old. This picture of Brownie is from Easter, with her Peep bunny and egg. Brownie is so named because her beautiful colors are like an ice cream brownie sundae, and she is just as sweet! She is truly a Mommy and Daddy's girl because she likes to be held and rubbed under her chin for hours, but only by the two of us. She is very shy when anybody else is in our house because she runs and hides in her igloo until they leave. She has never nipped either of us; instead she loves to lick our fingers, hands, elbows, or legs.

Brownie lives contentedly alone in our famous "pig dome" that measures 30" x 30", and she is the queen of her castle. She likes to play hide-and-seek with us in her igloo and oatmeal tubes, and we have seen her sleep on top of her igloo. When it's playtime, Brownie plays very nicely with our other four girl piggies in the critter corral, but it's clear that she has no interest in playing with Nicholas, the bachelor piggy next door to her!

Brownie is our lovable, spoiled little girl!
