Peanut
is the most special hamster I know. She is not only beautiful,
she is a strong little girl, a sweetheart and a survivor.
My friend had gotten Peanut, female dwarf, and she would always bite
because she was territorial. I kept trying to tell my friend that she
needs to get used to her human scent. She didn't listen and every time
Peanut climbed on the cage bars she would blow on her or push her paws
off and make her fall. When poor Peanut was sleeping, my friend would
poke her until she woke up. She would also feed her a bunch of yogurt
drops if she forgot to feed her her normal food. I had completely
disapproved of this, since dwarves are prone to diabetes.
Finally, a couple months later, my friend said I could have her. So
mid-January I walked over to my friend's house, who lives half a block
away, and picked up Peanut. I put a blanket over it to keep her warm
because it gets cold in the winters here in Minnesota. Now, few months
later, Peanut is still territorial but once you get her out of her cage
she is such a sweetie! I let her get used to me, and I give her a happy,
safe secure home. I'm so happy that I got to save a very special furry
friend's life. I love Peanut!
