This
is my rat Waffle... she is the love of my life! I bought her at the
store in March and I'm not quite sure how old she is but I am guessing
she is around seven or eight months. She is currently living in Felton,
California. She is very unique in many ways, sweet, and curious and
affectionate and smart. But I think her best talent is climbing!
One day, it was hot in my room, so I took Waffle out and put her in
the tree (which is an apple tree) above where I was picking up my dog's
doodoo and I started to do my job for like five or six minutes and I
stopped to check on Waffle and she wasn't where I had put her. So I
freaked out and started to look all around the tree and she was ALL THE
WAY NEAR THE VERY TOP BRANCH! I couldn't believe how fast she climbed
and that she didn't fall, but I got her down safely and kissed her for a
while!
But, as you can see in the picture, I was at my best friend's house
(Casey, whose rat Olive
was Pet of the Day) and it was right
before dinner and we had the rats out on the chairs. I caught Waffle
climbing and I'm not sure which one of us took this picture but I
treasure it very much! It shows off both her sweet face and her athletic
skill to perfection.
