||Six years old|
is a real character! When he's not heartily 'wheeking' for
his breakfast, he's 'popcorning' and making tunnels through his hay
pile. I love this little bundle of fluff, here's to six more happy years!!
As soon as I saw Nyushi running around at the pet store I knew he was
the one. Like a little 'white bullet' he was a lot quicker than his
siblings, especially to the food bowl!
After getting home and settling him in his cosy indoor hutch, I decided
to pick his name. For inspiration I picked up the closest thing to
hand... a japanese dictionary! After much deliberation and many laughs I
decided that Nyushi, which means 'milk teeth' in japanese, was just
right for his snowy white appearance.
From his junior years of dining on his cushion eating strawberries, to
his present having the run of grandma's yard (well stocked with parsley)
some might say he's one pampered piggy!
These days his hobbies include - 'wheeking' when his name is called,
tunnelling through hay piles and making nests. He's also kept company
by two female Guinea pigs Ruby and Tokyo, only believe it or not it's
not their affections he fights for, it's their carrot!
