My
pet, Pooky Shnibbler, is a blueberry dwarf hamster. I purchased him
about two months ago. I had never owned a hamster before and thought
they would be fun to have. He has been a welcome addition to my pet
family. He has more energy than any pet I have ever had. I purchased a
squeaky wheel for him when I first got him and he would run every once
in a while. I came to find out it was too small for him because he had
grown in the short time I had had him. I have since bought him a bigger
wheel and he loves it!! Of course the down side is that he runs on it
from 7pm until 7am straight!! But, I guess it keeps him busy.
I do also have two cats that enjoy watching him run. I have to keep him
up high so the cats can not get to him. I try to pet him, but it's not
really his thing, and I respect that. He is a bit of a nibbler on the
fingers! But, I do enjoy having him around and watching him run like a
nut on his new wheel! As do my cats!
