Roo
is a Double Rex "hairless" rat. She is approximately five months
old. I put "hairless" in quotes because sometimes she is almost bald,
and sometimes she has more hair - you can see the difference in her
facial markings in these two photos.
Roo loves flannel shirts mainly because when I first brought her home I
would wear one and let her snuggle and nap in the sleeve or pocket. Now
if she is loose in a room and doesn't want to be found, all I have to do
is lay down one of my flannel shirts and voila! She appears out of
nowhere.
Roo lives with five other rattie girls in a very big Martin's cage and
is more than happy snuggling with her furred friends in a hammock or
open hamster ball. Her favorite foods are apples, grapes, green beans,
peas and strawberries.
Roo and all of her friends live with my husband and me in Ohio, where
they are terribly spoiled and loved beyond reason.
