Bruja, the Pet of the Day
Name: Bruja
Age: Fifteen years old
Gender: Female
Kind: Quarter Horse
Home: Campton, New Hampshire, USA

My pet's name is Bruja. Bruja is Spanish for witch, and I wanted to change her name to Angel because she is more angel than witch. But I didn't - she was used to her name. She is fifteen years old and is still in really good shape. Bruja is an American Quarter Horse, but she looks part thoroughbred. Bruja is special because I love her very much. She helps me get through things in my times of need. She is a pony club horse and helps kids learn how to ride. She is a very attractive horse and people are always like, "your horse is gorgeous."

What makes Bruja special is that she is my favorite pet out of my other horses, dog, rabbits, and pigs. Bruja was abused when she was little so we took her and fed her and loved her. She has gotten me through rough times. She has gave me experience around horses. She has taught me many things, like: Don't load a horse into a trailer when other horses are eating. Do not fool around on a horses back. (I and my friends found that out the hard way). She has taught me not to give up, and if I fall off get right back on. Bruja is very special to me!

Bruja is black with a white blaze, and she gets really hot in the summer when I ride her, and yet she doesn't want to quit. I walk her out anyway, to cool her down. She gets along well with other horses and pigs. She takes care of my 30-year-old pony like she is her baby. She loves to jump, and she teaches me not to fall on her neck or get ahead of her, or to get left behind. Bruja is very gorgeous. She is very special to me and I hope you like her too!
