Here's
my ferret, Ace Ventura (Ace for short) playing in the rice box.
No, he's not deformed, he's just a flexible baby caught mid-flip! And
no, we won't be eating that rice now that it's been ferret-flavored. He
is three months old and is a Champagne point color.
I'll let him tell you more:
Hi! I am Ace. I am a real mama's boy. I get into lots of trouble and
enjoy running around the house. I am also known for getting into things
that mom doesn't like me to! I get into plants, sock drawers, dusty
places (like under the couch), and many other places when she isn't
looking! But I learn a lot. I learn how to use the bathroom when I need
to, to not bite cause human skin isn't as tough as mine, and many other
things. I love giving kisses to people. My momma loves me, too! I am
told I have a lot more learning and growing to do, but that's okay - I
am sure it will be fun!
Me again: Ferrets love to dig and this is one of his favorite things to
do. He smells so good after he plays in the rice box! He doesn't know
any tricks yet, but knows how to use the litter box, and loves to be
held and crawls up wrapped up around your neck.
His favorite game is hide and seek. He crawls under my dresser and peeks
out now and then and, "dook dook dook!" he goes. He makes a "hehehee"
sound sometimes too. (dook is a happy sound they make).
Ferrets are very independent critters. He is a fine mix of both
affectionate and independence. He is my first ferret ... I guess... I
used to foster them. He is my first permanent one. I started this
fostering by talking to a friend about this lady who needed help with
her ferrets. She bred them. So, I gladly helped out. I wanted one for
myself cause I loved them so much ... so I went to a PetCo and bought
him. It didn't take me long to say "Yes, I will take him!" He is a very
crazy critter, and for that I love him so much.
