Smudge, the Pet of the Day
Name: Smudge
Age: One year old
Gender: Male
Kind: Dwarf Lop Rabbit
Home: Wombourne, Wolverhampton, England

Hi, this is Smudge, the dwarf lop-eared rabbit. He is around twelve weeks in the picture but has now tripled in size and is now one year old. Smudge is really special, not only is does he live with two chickens but he also has a permanent garden life in freedom. He will come over and follow you when you come outside, and he will lick you and grunt when he is angry. He is huge now, over six pounds. We have a life changing pet and he is the most wonderful, colorful, beautiful bunny in the world.

He is very friendly and he is cute. When you come outside he jumps and runs into a bush at the bottom of the garden, later reappearing to come and get his treat. He knows two tricks, one is he comes when he's called but that isn't really a trick. Also, when you let him go about 100m from our drive, he will hop all the way down and wait by the garage door to be let back into the garden.

He likes having his ears tickled and when he is really relaxed he rolls over and his back leg twitches. He is very affectionate but, when he's in a bad mood he growls at your feet. He likes to play tag with the two chickens we have and runs around them in circles until one of them stops and pecks him, then he comes and gets affection from me.
